Q. Can I do a private tour?
A. Yes of course but you must contact Andrew on info@hungryosakatours.com to book a private tour in advance. For a private tour you need a minimum of 4 guests.
Q. I am Japanese, is it okay to join your tour?
A. You are very welcome to come. About 10% of our clients are Japanese…..Japanese locales. This surprises many of our foreign guests but we are the only tour in Osaka that has Japanese locals regularly coming on a tour!
Q. Can Children join this tour?
A. YES, we welcome families all the time on our tours. There are plenty of things for kids to do in the area and we will be sure to point them out
Q. I can’t speak Japanese, is that okay?
A. Of course, the whole tour is in English. Your tour guide speaks fluent Japanese in the event that conversing with the locals occurs. And the locals like to mix with anyone and everyone!

Q. What is on the menu?
Q. I'm a vegetarian, does the tour cater for vegetarians?
A. We get a variety of people who travel with us who have dietary restrictions. Although vegetarian/vegan menus are not as common here as they are in the west, if you could please let us know when you make the booking we will prepare dishes that you can enjoy.
Q. How long will the tour be?
A. About 3hrs to 3.5hrs

Q. What is okonomiyaki?
A. Its local Osakan food often called Japanese pancake or pizza (but only called that due to its shape & how you cut it). Its cabbage mixed with Japanese yam and egg as a base. You can choose your topping of a variety of seafood, meats or cheese. (Vegetarians catered for too).
TOUR LENGTH QUESTIONS
Q. How long will we walk for?
A. We will walk for 4.5km in about 2hrs 45mins. Just wear walking shoes or sneakers is fine. No special shoes required.
Q. Is it a lot of walking?
A. No the tour only has a minimal amount of walking between restaurants. We try our best to go at a pace that is comfortable and suitable to the group.
A. Small groups. Only 4~8 people. But we do cater for large private group bookings of up to 30 people.
PAYMENT/CANCELLATION/WEATHER
Q. If it’s bad weather, when do you notify and cancel the event?
A. We will send you an email via the payment site, 3 hours before if the weather is not suitable.
Q. Do I get a refund if I cancel before?
A. If you cancel before 24hrs of the start of the tour, you get a full refund if you decide not to participate.
Q.Can you arrange some activities after the tour finish?
A. Absolutely, we can arrange and guide you to bars, clubs in the central entertainment locations.
